Usual workaround for advanced users is to flash a 3rd party firmware to get most of the needed config. But unfortunately, this model is not even supported by DD-WRT yet. I just don't know with other providers. --- I looked into DD-WRT, OpenWRT/LEDE and neither of those offer support for the EA-7300.

R6300v2 DD-WRT Experience. Has anyone tried going to the latest builds of DD-WRT for the 6300v2? The Netgear firmware is so buggy I am considering trying it, but I haven't had much luck with it in the past on previous routers. DD-WRT: v24 Build 13309 or newer.
